Culture of Scharendijke

Going back in time and soaking up some culture is of course also possible from Scharendijke. Visit Brouwershaven and take a look in the marina where it is full of beautiful boats in summer. Brouwershaven's history is linked to the sea. Indeed, fishing used to be the main source of income, as well as the trade of wine, beer, wood and flax, among others.

A little further away but still so close you will find the city of Zierikzee. The port city is rich in history and has a wonderful city walk where you really get a good impression of this beautiful place with its 500 monuments. You will find plenty of boutiques and, of course, lovely terraces and restaurants.
